We’re so glad to have the opportunity to tell you a bit more about ourselves. We are a family of Christians who have come together from many countries to worship God and serve Him.
The church began 115 years ago when a small group of people left the Baptist congregation in Lower Abbey St. and moved to Phibsboro to begin Phibsboro Baptist Church. In 1994 the church decided to sell its building, which was in bad repair, and start afresh. We bought 29A Jamestown Road in Finglas and when we moved in we changed our name.
A great deal has changed since those first "pioneers" began the congregation in Phibsboro but many other things have remained constant. Among them is our desire to follow, in simplicity and purity, the pattern of the New Testament church.
We are part of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland, a family of autonomous churches spread out across the whole island of Ireland.
